Danielle Creenaune is an Australian
artist. She has shown work internationally and her work is held in major collections.
"I create landscapes from memory, based on first hand observations. The
lithographic stone or etching plate can be seen as a landscape in itself.
When creating an image, I respond intuitively and spontaneously to this landscape
as well as the natural landscape I have in mind. Variations in the language
of marks are articulated through allowing the elements of chance and accident
to take over…....elements which also fascinate me in nature. I currently live
and work in Barcelona." 2010

"Creo paisajes desde mi memoria, basándome en observaciones, dibujos
y experiencias vividas. Para mi, una plancha o una piedra de litografía contienen
paisajes en sí mismas. Cuando creo una imagen lo hago de manera espontánea
e intuitiva, para mostrar las formas de la naturaleza tal y como las tengo
en mi mente. La diversidad de formas son creadas a través de un lenguaje abierto
a la casualidad, los accidentes y la sorpresa; elementos que existen en la
propia naturaleza y por los cuales siento enorme admiración.
